Noun Full Form An event routing strategy where the event instance moves down the element tree (starting at the root of the visual tree and ending with the source).

[ISA] A tunneling protocol is a network protocol which encapsulates one protocol or session inside another. Protocol A is encapsulated within protocol B, such that A treats B as though it were a data link layer. Tunneling may be used to transport a network protocol through a network which would not otherwise support it. In ""Avalon"", the names of events that use this routing strategy are prefixed with the word ""Preview"". These events have the same signature as their counterparts that use the bubbling event routing strategy.
