Noun Full Form Tasks that a user is permitted to perform on a computer system or domain.

User rights are controlled by security settings on the computer and are usually set by the system administrator. [MSXGloss] [MSTP 4.6] Use 'user rights' only to refer to Microsoft Windows security policies that apply to individual user accounts or administrative groups. The system administrator manages user rights through the User Rights Assignment snap-in. User rights are assigned, not granted or allowed. Do not use privilege as a synonym for user right.
