Noun Full Form A menu that is related to the active window or item, accessible by right-clicking the mouse.
- [MSTP 4.6] Do not use context menu or right-click menu to refer to the menu that appears when a user clicks the right mouse button in certain areas (or ""contexts""), such as in a toolbar region. If you must refer to this menu by name, use shortcut menu instead. If the application programming interface uses context menu (or ContextMenu or similar constructions), follow the interface, but make clear that it refers to the shortcut menu.For Office products this term has been rejected in favor of ""shortcut menu"" (Mark Alexieff)
