Noun Abbreviated Form A set of data that is organized and summarized into a multidimensional structure that is defined by a set of dimensions and measures.

[Commerce Server] Data sources might consist of one or more cubes that provide data for a business scorecard. [Axapta] The cube, when transferred and processed, will query your database and return report data. A cube in Commerce Server 2000 is created during the unpacking process, and is populated and processed for data retrieval when the Reports preparation DTS task is run. Storing data in cubes increases the speed of data retrieval.
